Get to know Rachael…
What do you enjoy most about being a beauty therapist?
I love making people feel happy and restored after visiting me. I always give 100% with every treatment and my aim is to make people feel a better version of themselves.
What are the most popular treatments you offer your clients?
Massage and facials. I offer bespoke treatments and I adapt these treatments to every client every time.
Tell us a little bit more about your bespoke treatments and what they entail
After a consultation discussing different factors like treatment aims, concerns, home care routines, lifestyle etc I create a treatment to help clients achieve the results they want. I also suggest future treatments that could help them reach their goals if that’s something they are looking for.
If you could undergo only one of your treatments yourself, which one would it be?
I’d choose a bespoke facial incorporating a sculpt out face massage and SkinPen microneedling.
How do you make a client feel at ease and comfortable?
I’m extremely laid back and I think that this is reflected in my treatment space and how people feel when they come to see me. I have a clean tranquil space that’s easy to relax in. It’s also super easy to park outside which is always a bonus.
Will you be introducing some new treatments this year; can you tell us about those?
Yes, I have just had the pleasure of training with Flavia Morellato. She is the leading lymph drainage massage specialist in the UK. It was her first training course and ten of us from all over the world got the opportunity to learn her technique. I have been busy doing case studies and have just added it to my treatment list.
What are the most common skin concerns that you come across?
Anti-ageing and preventative treatments for facials. But I believe more people are becoming more aware of the importance of self-care. It’s not just about going to the gym. You need to make space for relaxation and to switch off. You need to find what you enjoy it could be a massage, facial or a meditation session. They all work and are all important for our health.
What is your recommended skin care routine?
Keep it simple. Most people use way too much on their skin now a days. A good simple routine is best and make sure you apply SPF 30+ daily. Ask someone who knows what to use. I think most skin clinics including myself offer complementary skin consultations. We all want to help. You don’t need to spend money on high end prices either.
When you are not occupied helping other people with their self-care, what do you enjoy doing that relaxes you?
I enjoy going to the gym and walking my Weimaraner Meg!
